Return to the Playground of the Gods: Sea of Clouds of Mt. Pulag

My first major hike was Mt. Pulag. It was an amazing experience.

This mountain is perhaps most famous for its very unique beauty unlike any other: IMO, its the view of Gods to the terrain of the world. Sea of clouds rolling in the mountains like its beneath your feet. It is a mountaineers/hikers dream to reach the summit to view the spectacular sunrise over the sea of clouds. We too hoped to see it but was not given the chance.

We enjoyed the trek over the Mossy forest to the grasslands.

We endured the windy and cold night under the foggy sky.

We created memories with games , stories and food trips

We (well I) almost got hypothermia for not changing my layers of wet clothing.

Got swept away by the strong winds of the summit assault.

Got stuck in long lines of hikers climbing up the summit.

Awed by how people treat you differently and very kindly going up and down the mountain.

how faith in humanity got strengthen by their eagerness to preserve nature.

VERDICT:

Nonetheless, it is a sight to see and definitely one of my Top items in my Bucket list. So I WILL RETURN! – date of hike (March 22-23)
